And the winner of this months Owner’s photo competition goes to Michael Farver from Plantation, Florida USA
There may be various other images that our owners associate with their Home in Tuscany: Stefy’s smile when welcoming them back to their Home in Tuscany, hand-made cotto tiles, exposed wooden beams, Bussatti linens, wild-flowers, olive groves, oak trees, homogeneously coloured tiled heated swimming-pool and the list goes on and on… but all stir up a sense of belonging.
Michael could not have captured a more subliminal emotional image, which makes us smile without reason and effort!
For anybody else this is just an out of focus image of an old metal candelabra; but for our owners from around the globe, it represents the warmth and tenderness of many memorable evenings and long lasting friendships, which embody a genuine family legacy.
From the warmth of flickering candlelight in our 14th century Trattoria 'I cche c'è c'è, countless evenings have been enjoyed with new friends and laughter has filtered out of the trattoria doors and down the valley…. One language is universal in the Trattoria, that of laughter.
This image, which will be included in Michael’s exhibition in South of Florida, was kindheartedly given to Fulvio as a Christmas present.
Fulvio has offered to hang his gift on the walls of the Trattoria, where it can be enjoyed by all our owners and their friends.
Each month one high resolution photo will be chosen and circulated electronically and the winner will fittingly be presented with a copy of the renowned American photographer Leonard Freed’s photo book IO AMO L’ITALIA. Freed’s exhibition Io amo l’Italia was held during 2012 in Milan, Rome and Turin and well supported by both critics and the general public.
Leonard Freed once referred to his relationship with Italy as a “love story”. This passion reaches back a long way, beyond his career in photography, to his first interest in the medium, which began on his initial trip to Europe in 1952.Each month one high resolution photo will be chosen and circulated electronically; from now on the winner will fittingly be presented with a copy of the renowned American photographer Leonard Freed’s photo book IO AMO L’ITALIA.
