Our love for Italy dates from the 1970’s when we lived for 3 years in Milan before returning to our home in Scotland. Later on, after many camping and villa holidays with family and friends in Tuscany, we bought into a fractional ownership project near Florence in 2011. This we enjoyed very happily for three summers until it came to an end when the owners of the project changed their business model. We then heard of another a special place near Cortona and on visiting Borgo in September 2013 we immediately fell in love with it… as so many do.
Its location in this beautiful region gives easy access to the delights of Tuscany and Umbria and the walks from the hamlet are enchanting. The charm, seclusion and tranquillity of the hamlet in all seasons more than compensate for the daunting ascent.
We see ourselves returning at least twice a year and offering the opportunity to other family members and friends. There is no doubt that the welcome from Fulvio and Lee, the efficiency and friendliness of all the staff, the secrets of Dina’s kitchen and the social contacts with other owners from many countries have totally confirmed the rightness of our decision to become owners at Vagli and we look forward to many happy holidays here.
